This week I’m at the annual HDI Conference being held at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas. I had every intention to check in daily with you but quite honestly there’s so much to do during this conference that every day (and night) is jammed pack with valuable sessions, keynotes and networking that I just didn’t have the time to check in earlier. My apologies.
For those of you who don’t know what HDI is or what this conference is all about you might want to check out their website. In short, this is the 23rd Annual World Conference for Technical Service and IT Support held by HDI (formerly known as the “Help Desk Institute”). Facilitated by industry thought-leaders, practitioners and process experts from around the world, the conference is the largest, most-respected technical support educational event in the world.
In other words, this is THE conference to attend if you’re at all involved in managing or providing any type of IT support. This is my fifth conference and I can tell you it’s well worth the time and money.
This morning I had the pleasure of listening to Steve Wozniak! What a fascinating man! He provided some insights into the early days of his relationship with Steve Jobs, the early days of Apple and how it all started. I left this first keynote inspired and ready for a great day ahead.
OK, my break is over. I have to run but I promise I’ll share a lot more later on or at least after the conference is over.
